A Day in Old New Castle
Visit America’s Oldest Home & Garden show! This year it’s the 100th anniversary celebration of A Day in Old New Castle! Residents and visitors alike look forward to this special every year! You’ll experience life on the river, as it used to be years ago! Travel through town and witness many sights and sounds of days long past, and present day.
The theme for the town’s 100th anniversary is to recreate the first 1925 event, as well as A Day in Old New Castle through the decades. Original buildings and homes will be open to tour, plus other private homes and gardens. There will also be free-of-charge family-friendly activities so all can come enjoy the day, and have a wonderful experience.
Among the day’s events:
- House and garden tours
- Demonstrations and activities
- Variety of decades old car on display
- Colonial artisans and crafts.
- Live music and food vendors.
- Costumed reenactors throughout the town
- Children’s activities on the Green and Wharf
