Visit the Bowers Beach Museum and you’ll view artifacts of Bowers, the Delaware Bay and the watermen of the area. Walking through the museum, you’ll learn the past of a town who’s way of life centered on the water, which included oyster harvesting.
If historic architecture interests you, you’ll especially appreciate the museum itself. The house dates back to the 1800’s, and has been kept in remarkable condition.
Logistics:
The Bowers Beach Maritime Museum sits right along Main Street as you enter the Town of Bowers Beach. A short distance from the beach itself, make sure you visit the town before or after your museum tour to get the full experience.
