Located in beautiful Historic Odessa, the Corbit-Calloway Memorial Library is housed in a very attractive old stone building.

The Delmarva Collection is an opportunity for you to explore the fascinating history of the Delaware Bayshore through more than 9,000 books, maps, postcards, pottery, ephemera, and framed artifacts. The Collection also features biographies of distinguished individuals who hail from the region and published works of literature by local authors. One of the highlights is the John Dickinson Memorial Collection of newspaper articles bequeathed to the Library in 2001 by Delawareana specialist and school librarian, the late John Dickinson of Smyrna.

There is a small parking lot next tot he library and street parking. The Library is behind Cantwell’s Tavern and easily reached by foot from the Historic Downtown Odessa area.

Tours of the historic buildings take a minimum of 90 minutes and include steps to entries and multiple staircases within buildings; wear comfortable walking shoes.
