You’ll enjoy seeing this adorable one-room school house as you travel Route 9. While it is not generally open to the public, its setting in the midst of a park-like field will remind you of a simpler time in the history of the Delaware Bayshore.
The schoolhouse was built in 1923 and in 1949 the school was closed and the district was consolidated with the Smyrna School District.

The marker and school house are viewable from Route 9/Fleming Landing Rd., but there is no parking area.
