Bug & Bud Festival
Join Downtown Milford in April, for its annual Bug & Bud Festival celebrating ladybugs and trees!
The significance of the ladybug in Delaware is tied to Milford, when in 1973, a local second grade class petitioned the Delaware State Legislature to accept the ladybug as Delaware’s official State Bug. The festival also serves as a celebration of Arbor Day and Milford’s designation as a USA Tree City.
Highlights of the event include:

- Preview the Riverwalk Farmers Market vendors
- Paddle boats on the river near Arena’s Restaurant
- Costumed walking parade of ladybugs and trees for adults, kids and their pets! Prizes are awarded for best costumes.
