Abbott’s Mill Nature Center sits on a 376-acre piece of Milford Millponds Nature Preserve and features beautiful trails. You’ll also find a Visitor’s Center with a designated kids’ corner, live animals to get up close with, and a historic working gristmill.
At the Nature Center, you can enjoy a wide range of activities, such as pet-friendly trail hikes, kayak rentals on the site’s 20-acre pond, and an accessible boardwalk for people with physical disabilities following the streams to a picnic area. View the Abbott’s Mill activities calendar for details on current events and programs.
If you are interested in outdoor activities in the Nature Center or at the dozens of nearby parks and outdoor spaces, Abbott’s Mill provides an extensive list of kid friendly ideas for your use anywhere in the area. The Delaware Nature Society staff organize events and festivals from biannual native plant sales to international tours of Iceland or Mexico.
